United For Peace Foundation's view of our "non-violence" vision, mission and activities to establish a platform of peace through education is not, through "rose" colored glasses.

United For Peace Foundation would like the picture of the world we gaze upon to be bright with hope, filled with the fresh smiling faces of happy healthy and joyous children brimming with the promise of tomorrow . . . . but we sadly recognize the realities of human's nature are otherwise . . . . there is a dark side to mankind's inhumanity to mankind.

Where there is the promise of good . . . .there is evil. Where there is the possibility of prosperity . . . . there is the threat of disaster. Where there is the potential for peace . . . . there is the threat of violence . . . . and as the Violence Meter illustrates . . . . man's inhumanity to his fellow man. The Violence Meter is a powerful calculator expressing the impact of violence holding dominion over peace, tranquility, prosperity and human progress.

The powerful images of war, violence, destruction and death are a constant reminder that we must reject hatred, intolerance, fear and better learn to embrace hope, charity, understanding and non-violent methods to resolve mankind's differences.

The illuminating promise of the next generation is to learn to live in peace and in doing so to vanquish the dark and frightening images of war and destruction.
